Hercules opened smashingly at the Donnell Theatre in BGSU's new Wolfe Center for the Arts - catch the final free performance at 8pm tonight (Saturday).
If you're free earlier, catch me at Stephan Haluska's 4pm composition recital in Bryan Recital Hall - I'll be featured on Canned Soup for chamber ensemble (I may in fact be singing into tin can telephones. . .). If you're free even earlier, my dear friend and colleague Noa Even will be performing at 2pm in Bryan - DMA saxophone recital. Big day for all!

After a warmly-received Cage concert at the Toledo Art Museum (I sang Aria), it's full speed ahead into Hercules dress week! Performances are 3/30 and 3/31 at 8p in the new Wolfe Center Donnell Theatre at BGSU - tickets are free.fifty!
In the meantime, Saturday, 3/31 at 4p, I'll be singing in the world premiere of Canned Soup by Stephan Haluska at his composition recital in Bryan Hall. Also - I just added another movement of Harawi to my soundcloud! Check out "Bonjour toi, colombe verte" for a sample of what's to come with this summer's recital of the whole work with pianist Karl Larson. After a surprise preview concert promoting Hercules, I had rare chance to sing the music of Libby Larsen with the composer in attendance. Congrats to everyone who sang!
I will be participating in a masterclass with composer Libby Larsen, and singing the final two movements of her Try me, good king song cycle with pianist Kate Stubbs at a culminating recital at 8pm on Friday, March 16 in Bryan Hall at BGSU.
It's official! I will be spending a few weeks this summer in Maccagno, Italy - participating in the soundSCAPE new music festival! So honored and excited to go.
If you're in the Rochester or Fredonia, NY area in the next few days, don't miss the Color Field Ensemble on their tour of the area - new chamber music with a fabulous soprano, sax, clarinet, piano, and bass!
I'm trying a different format for updates - a blog!
Coming up this spring break: I've added new tracks to my soundcloud, and new photos (courtesy Mariangela Chatzistamatiou) to the gallery. Check them out! |
